The Finale

I am creating a fold out piece of information that can be displayed at my business location, whenever that happens for me! It is also a great hand out, or could be used as a direct mail piece. My target audience is females primarily, and those who want to get their photos taken. My printing specifications are on a 13X19 sheet of paper, which I will be using 11X13.5 plus a bleed. My call to action is email, blog, phone numbers and email!

Photo Packages {Specials!}

We have so much headed our way and we need to be sure we capture all we can! Have you gotten your mom her special gift yet so show her how much she means to you? Think photography! Mom's, spoil yourself and get photos with your kiddos-- or do a beauty session without =) It's all about you! And don't forget dad's too, they love photo reminders!

Graduates, we have worked for 4 years for this! Take some photos and be proud!

Letterhead

I created my own letterhead and A6/#10 Envelopes. You have to use your imagination in order to see the borders.

Here is the letterhead!

Here is the envelope.

Graduation Invites!

Its about that time, I am finally about to graduate and commission! Here are the invites that I sent out. They are 6x4 and they are back to back.

Front- Invite to Commissioning

Back- Invite to Graduation (it has a white border)

Publication Ad

Publication Ad.
We have to create an ad for a publication and the publication is our choice. I chose Allure.
The challenges when making a publication ad is the space that is given to you. You have to be aware of the spine of the magazine and its bending and bleeds and trims can be different on all sides. The different file formats are used are all through Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. The flowery-wing is from Illustrator and saved as an ai file. All photos are from Photoshop and saved as tiff or eps. The microsoft tag is saved as tif and I really like the tag because the colors correspond with my blue color throughout the ad. The microsoft tags can be created at:

http://tag.microsoft.com/create-your-own-tag.aspx

You have to have an account, but it doesnt have to be an msn account. I was able to use my yahoo account just fine. I actually dont have the microsoft tag application on my phone, but am told that the white barrier around the tag needs to be still be there (I cropped mine out because it didnt go with my design :)) Its useless though if it doesnt work, so I will try that out. It SHOULD lead you our website of photography.

Here are my thumbs. I want the image to be the grabber.

Here is my rough. There is going to be overlapping text over the photo

Newspaper Ad

My newspaper ad is either going to be 3.79 x 4 or 4 x 3.79.

Specifications: This assignment was a newspaper ad and we had to use a bitmap image. With this bitmap image though, we could not take it into illustration and work on it so we had to solely depend on our artistic (drawing) abilities. I would have liked for the edges of the letters to be more precise. There were several steps that I had to do to get the bitmap image ready for placement into the ad. It had to be scanned (line screen) and the resolution is 679!

My target audience was females who are interested in getting portraits done (seniors, graduations etc).

My call to action is the contact info- website and phone numbers.

Logo Change

Assignment: Find a logo that has changed and discuss its changes and explain personal opinions.

I chose the MTV Logo. The logo didnt have a major reconstruction, but it is more described as a refreshing change over a massive one. I prefer the new logo. It is more clean-cut and to the point. The old logo was a little rough around the edges and the 'Music Television' was redundant. They are to the point (thankfully for them) where they dont need much to showcase who they are, which depicts good designing.
